To join God in the renovation of ordinary lives to embody the Kingdom.

Process

We believe that the sanctifying grace of God transforms ordinary human beings into the people of God. That transformation process occurs through the regular practice of spiritual disciplines (meditation, prayer, fasting, study, simplicity, solitude, confession, submission, service, worship, guidance, celebration) and is forged through our fidelity to a local group of believers.

Authenticity

We believe that honesty, humility, and transparency should be the posture of God’s church. We are authentic people being re-made and re-oriented into authentic disciples of Jesus Christ.

Community

We believe that God’s church should be intergenerational and cross-cultural, and that much of the work of God’s Spirit in the world begins with eating, drinking, arguing and serving with each other. We also believe that growing closer in our relationship to God has a lot to do with growing closer to God's people.

Substance

We believe that God’s church should be built on a deep study of and reflection on the Scriptures. We embrace prayerful study of these ancient texts as the basis of spiritual formation.

Response

We believe that worship is supposed to be an interactive, responsive experience with God by His Spirit. We also believe that the witness and gifts of the Holy Spirit are present wherever the kingdom of God is being announced and built.

Justice

We believe that a significant part of our call as the body of Christ is to serve our community and our world through powerful demonstrations of the love of God through acts of kindness. We accept the Biblical call to seek justice and to live in a spirit of sacrifice and humility towards the marginalized, broken, and oppressed. We believe the local church is the hope of the world.
